Short Vitae

Jyoti Mistry is Professor in Film at University of Gothenburg in Sweden. She works with film both as a mode of research and artistic practice. Recent publications on artistic research: International Journal of Film and Media Arts “Mapping Artistic Research in Film” (2020). Journal of African Cinema “Film as Research Tool: Practice and Pedagogy” (2017), Places to Play (2017) and forthcoming Decolonial propositions in collaboration with OnCurating, Zurich (April 2021). Currently she is editor in chief of PARSE (Platform of Artistic Research in Sweden).

Christian Iseli has been teaching and researching at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK since 1995. He holds a professorship for Immersive Arts, heads the Immersive Arts Space and teaches in the MA Film program. After studying history, German and English literature at the University of Bern, Iseli was a director of documentary films and worked in editing and cinematography on feature films and documentaries.

Kristoffer Gansing holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Malmö and is professor of Artistic Research and director of the International Center for Knowledge in the Arts, Copenhagen. Previously, Gansing was artistic director of the world-renowned digital culture transmediale festival in Berlin, directing nine editions from 2012 to 2020.

Marlis Roth

Marlis Roth is Professor of Nonlinear Forms at the Babelsberg Film University. Since 1990 her audiovisual and installation work focuses on stillness and the onset of movement. A central interest is the observation of the presence and positioning of moving images in space. 2016, she initiated Site-Specific Film, a research group that exchanges filmic ideas in selected spaces.
